keeping up w/ getting down

i LOVE when its nearing the winter season & there’s car lots filled w/ butchered trees, red & green spazzed out retail all up in my grill, everything in my co-op smells like gingerbread & expensive wine, but yet its 70degrees & i’m biking around Oakland in a t-shirt. things just ain’t like they used to be.

the last few weeks have just incredible for this woven world of music i exist in. been to several new cities; did a little run in the southeast to nashville, knoxville, & lexington & my gawwwwwd these crowds i will never forget. amazing numbers of inspired/expressive souls. re:convergence mini-fest in denver was mindblowing. shared the bill w/ some of my most honored producers/performers but fave peoples as well; colorado heads are wild!!! such thick AWEsome vibe… everyone appears so connected, it’s like experiencing the collective inhale/exhale. that’s some unprescribed, unpredictable, untamed medicine right there. brrrrraaaaannnng it….!

Ana,

You’re concert at Limelight was off the chain! You had the crowd jumpin throughout your entire set. Please come back to Tennessee soon! Keep it dubalicious! Peace.

Ana,

You blew our minds in Covington! Got my sts9 tickets back in January and was totally stoked for their set, but, as it was my first time seeing you, I’m without words for the massive energy you created. I’ve never seen a crowd feed off so perfect a vibe. Minds coalesced, souls were merged and you are the orchestrator of that deep sound. Mad love.

Hi Ana, I am embarrassed for yelling “Ana can I get a picture with you!” … I have not done that since I ran into Public Enemy in the DFW airport in 1994. Flave was all to willing to accommodate, we ended up hanging out for an hour until their departure.

Next time your in Lexington KY I will probably be cooking for you (check out my site) though I have not told Chuck Morland (Underlying Themes) yet, an old friend.

Your set in Asheville was, well… there are not words for your sound… Beat-n-Bass Goddess works for me. My wife is in love with your sound too :-)

Look forward to the next time my ears get their candy, thank you!
