Hi Allure.
I am Madeline Klein and this is my 10 minute beauty routine.
[clock ticking]
10 minutes. Let's go.
First, let me start with my foundation.
This is NARS.
It feels like it looks like skin
and it's a little glowy,
I kind of like to be a little shiny.
And I've wet my Beauty Blender.
Don't look at it, I need to clean it.
[upbeat music]
And I've already like, put on sunscreen and moisturizer.
I don't use a primer,
which I feel like I should, but oopsy.
I get really impatient,
so I usually kind of just do like, pretty minimal
'cause my attention span is that of an ant.
Next step, I think I'll do concealer.
I told y'all I wing this.
Boi-ing by Benefit.
It's called the bright on concealer.
And this might be a little light,
but when in doubt blend it out, you know what I'm saying?
And then I bring my concealer down here a little bit.
I have a little bit of redness under my nose,
so I like to cover there.
Kind of, blend the eyes down to the nostrils.
This one works really well for my skin,
this Benefit, and I feel like it's like,
a good amount of coverage for a concealer.
Old faithful.
Trusty, Shade and Light contour by Kat Von D.
So, you know, just a little bit of
both and I pat it down.
Normally I go a little bit higher
than this bone right here
because I feel like it lifts my face,
just a little bit.
I first discovered Ulta when I was 14.
I got a foundation that was entirely
too light for my skin
and then, to make matters worse,
I took like a setting powder or something like,
or actually no, it was a powder foundation
and I would just go all over with the powder foundation.
So my face looked like it was one dimensional
and I thought I was hot sh*t.
So I just did that. I think that looks good.
I don't like it to be too dark.
Just like a little bit of, just a compliment.
Now, I'm gonna take the same palette.
I'm gonna go with this one,
this color, this kind of like cool taupe color,
and I'm gonna button my nose.
This is my favorite.
So, I do like a little tiny baby little circle.
[Madeline coughs]
I just breathed it in.
Don't do that.
Refrain from inhaling when you button your nose.
Okay, and then I kind of do like a U-shape right here
to kind of bring it, make it look less like
I just drew a circle on my nose.
Then I take it down and
just like, kind of blend it out.
I'm gonna do a little bit right here today.
Again guys, I just feel it out.
I'm gonna go to eyebrows.
Okay, this again, Benefit.
We love Benefit.
It's called precisely my eyebrow pencil
and I really like it because it's a super fine tip.
And then I just, well first
on the other side there's a little brush.
I brush up my eyebrows
nice and fluffy.
I'm feeling like because I have have a
really slicked ponytail today,
I'm gonna do like, fluffy brows.
I feel like that will be fun.
I like to do little hair like, lines, I guess.
I make it look really natural.
Obviously, I've had the privilege of working
with so many great makeup artists
and I kind of just watched what they do.
Okay, eyebrows are done.
I'm happy with these.
Actually no, they're not done.
Brow gel, t's Anastasia.
And then I rub it in the cap a little bit
so it's not like, super clumped on.
And then, this is the best for
when we wanna do a fluffy brow.
When I'm on Outer Banks,
I'm probably in the chair for 30 minutes max.
It's all our showrunner, Jonas.
He's famous on set for saying more sweat,
more blood, more tears, less makeup.
I'm usually in the chair for max 30 minutes,
unless I have to put on like, a fake bullet wound.
Next step.
We have Benefit.
It is the Shelly blush.
These are so pigmented and I love it
and I'm gonna use this brush.
I saw this on TikTok again,
I draw a lot of inspiration
from watching people do their makeup
on TikTok or from makeup artists,
and I saw this one girl one time do her blush kind
of where your highlighter is supposed to be.
And it's just kind of the same thing
as applying the contour like,
on the cheekbone instead of below.
It just lifts your face.
I don't know, that's what she said.
It was on the internet, so it must be true
and I think it works.
I also remember when I thought blush
was the worst thing in the world
and I just think about how
I was walking around looking dead.
I like to bring a little bit up here,
I feel like it give a sun kissed look.
A little bit in the hairline.
I'm realizing I feel like this is more than 10 minutes.
Usually I do this a lot quicker.
And then, I'm gonna do a little on my nose.
Okay, that was too much.
Now that that's done, I think I'm gonna do eyes.
Brushes that I normally use
when I don't forget them at home,
they're by Ash K Holm
and she just came out with them,
and they're really lovely.
And I've actually, I've never owned a real
like, a full brush set and it's a dream.
So I did a little bit of a little tiny baby wing
and then I blended it out.
I really like to accentuate this outer corner of my eye.
[upbeat music]
Looks good to me.
And we're gonna do the other eye.
[upbeat music]
Okay, perfect.
Mascara.
I am using Armani and it's Eyes to Kill
and they're not lying.
And I like to go,
I like to try and touch my water line
and I feel like it kind of really extends the lashes.
And I like my lashes to be a touch shy of spidery.
No lash left behind.
I always do the bottom.
We're gonna brush them out just a little bit
using my eyebrow pencil.
Next, same thing.
I don't curl my lashes,
they kind of scare me a little bit.
I've heard horror stories of eyelashes being ripped off
and I feel like it would be my luck
that I do that to myself.
Okay, Eyes to Kill.
I think eyes are done.
Actually no.
See guys, there are no maps here.
I'm gonna take this Glossier Haloscope highlight.
I'm gonna do a little inner eye,
a little inner eye glow.
Maybe a little here because we're already here.
We might as well.
Let's do lips.
I have this lip gloss by,
I think it's pronounced Jue Cosmetics
and I feel like it would kind of, let's see.
I'm feeling this one.
It's really pretty on.
Okay, but before we do that,
let's do a little lip contour.
I use my eyebrow pencil
ar you could use the,
sometimes I use like, Kat Von D,
but this just feels faster.
I just do like,
I love it here.
You should look a little insane
when you first start this process and then you blend.
I feel like anybody who's really like,
actually good at makeup is gonna watch this
and just be like sent into orbit.
We are going to take our lip gloss.
I'm gonna add, I feel like adding
a little bit of depth to the lip.
It's Anastasia lip liner in Dusty Rose,
which I feel like is the theme that's going on today.
And I'm gonna just kind of go up here,
just give a little bit of color.
I think I went too high.
This is actually one of my favorite steps.
It is freckles.
It's a product called Freck XL
and it's this tiny little fine point brush,
and you're supposed to put it
on your fingers and like, kind of pat around,
and it'll give you like little subtle freckles,
but I kind of like to accentuate what I already have.
And I have this little mole outside of my eye
and I kind of, I like to.
Some days I go bigger than others,
today is a subtle day.
Just a little bit 'cause
I do like these little freckles around my eyes.
My dermatologist says it's sun damage,
but I'm in denial.
Wear your sunscreen folks.
You know, I have these little guys
on top of my nose.
[upbeat music]
And there it is.
This look is called Tried and True.
For me, I like
to accentuate my eyes and my eyebrows and then
I like to leave everything feeling very dewy.
Thank you Allure for following along
my 10 minute makeup routine.
Go get you an old faithful.
